Inspiration & Concept
This piece was created as a second perspective to motivate and inspire those burdened by fear—stagnant like the lily pad caught between light and darkness. It reflects the inner struggle of longing for growth while being restrained by doubt. The bamboo, resilient in nature, symbolizes strength in slow and unseen progress, reminding the viewer that every step forward is significant. Serving as a mirror to The View, this artwork encourages witnesses of another’s journey to honor and respect the process of growth.
Style & Technique
Contemporary Symbolism with structured elements.
The architectural arches frame the composition like windows into possibility, while the glowing horizon and flowing waters are rendered with layered acrylics transitioning smoothly from warm sunset hues to cool blues. The recurring red umbrella motif reinforces themes of protection and faith, linking this piece to its companion work.
Edition & Authenticity
This is a one-of-a-kind original artwork, created with full creative freedom, as part of a two-part series titled The View and The Viewer. While future prints may be considered, the original remains entirely unique.
